Job Description:

This role involves acting as an independent end-point assessor for the Senior Healthcare Support Worker (Allied Health Profession – Therapy Support) (Level 3) apprenticeship. The assessor will evaluate the Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviour (KSBs) of apprentices to ensure they meet industry standards and are job-ready. Responsibilities include participating in training, assessing candidate performance, maintaining assessment quality, and contributing to continuous improvement and quality assurance activities. The assessor must be independent, unbiased, and compliant with Pearson's protocols and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in training and standardisation activities
  • Assess apprentices in line with assessment plans and criteria
  • Record and justify assessment outcomes
  • Maintain high-quality assessment records
  • Report risks, issues, or malpractice
  • Support appeals and contribute to quality assurance
Person Specification:

Applicants should have relevant occupational competence in the allied health therapy support field, be a registered healthcare professional or have completed a Level 5 qualification, and hold or be working towards a formal assessor qualification. Experience in healthcare settings within the last 2 years, ability to lead discussions, and commitment to CPD are essential. UK-based candidates only, with a requirement of two working days availability during the week for EPA activities. Additional desirable qualities include experience in quality assurance, making grading judgments, and knowledge of safeguarding.

  • Own personal IT equipment with internet access, microphone, webcam
  • UK or Ireland postal address and right to work in the UK
  • Ability to travel for EPA arrangements
