Job description
Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, well-motivated professional to specialise in end-of-life care in a hospice setting.

St Luke's is delivering on its vision of a Hospice without Walls with the support of its End-of-Life Urgent Care Team. As a Registered Nurse for the End-of-Life Urgent Care Service you will assist in supporting community-based end-of-life (EOL) patients in meeting their preferred place of care and death and prevent inappropriate admission to secondary care.

Main duties

To be a part of this caring and compassionate team as a Band 5 Nurse, you will need to be able to work autonomously and be responsible for ongoing holistic assessments and planning of care to meet the patient’s practical, psychological, spiritual, and social needs.

You will work closely with both primary and secondary care health professionals and other Hospice colleagues; therefore, good communication skills are essential.

St Luke’s is a friendly, dynamic, and progressive organisation where innovation and a can-do ethos are championed. We would value those with the desire to work in this specialist area.

As a staff member of St Luke’s, you will receive an attractive employment package, which includes 7 weeks annual leave rising with service (including bank holidays) and membership to a cash back health plan.

Please discuss this post informally with the Clinical Lead, Sarah Earl on 01752 964 200.
