Job summary

Marie Curie is recruiting a part-time Bank Healthcare Assistant to support a multidisciplinary team in North Wales (Flintshire & Wrexham, Conwy & Denbighshire). You’ll provide personal care, symptom management, and emotional support to patients at end of life, under supervision.

NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care is required, with at least 6 months’ care experience. Travel by car is expected; benefits include generous leave, training, and pension options.

Qualifications

Strong communication skills with the ability to hold person-centred conversations within a multidisciplinary team.
Knowledge of palliative and end-of-life care, including holistic care planning and symptom management.
Ability to plan and prioritise care and respond to changes in patient condition.

Responsibilities

Support patients with personal care, daily living activities and emotional support.
Contribute to care planning and documentation under supervision of registered staff.
Assist with symptom management and safe, dignified care delivery.
Escalate concerns promptly following care protocols.
