Job Description:

Are you the candidate we are looking for? At Shaftesbury Kathleen House, we are recruiting for Enabling Support Workers. Please note this role does not qualify for visa sponsorship, as the salary requirements set by the Home Office are not satisfied.

We are looking for people with passion, talent, skills, and experience that contribute to a caring and community-minded workforce.

We believe that the people we support have the right to a full and flourishing life. They deserve the very best in delivery. Driven by our core values, Shaftesbury strives to be Open, Enabling, Inclusive, and Courageous in all that we do.

About the role:

As an Enabling Support Worker, your role is to provide support and encouragement, taking direction from both the person supported and the person-centered support plan.

You will be required to maintain accurate records in line with service requirements and may also need to administer personal care and medication.

There will be a requirement to cover sleep-in sessions, for which you will be paid an additional £60 per sleep-in.

Shaftesbury Independent Living specializes in flexible, client-driven approaches to care, health, and inclusion for people with diverse needs and living situations. Whether support is needed for an hour or twenty-four hours a day, we help people maximize their quality of life and community engagement.

Benefits of working at Shaftesbury include:

  • Welcome bonus of £500 after 12 months of employment (terms apply)
  • Opportunity to take your birthday off, taken from your annual entitlement
  • Rewards for good service, including gift vouchers based on CQC ratings
  • Recognition nominations for going above and beyond
  • Comprehensive training package
  • Generous annual leave: 25 days plus 8 bank holidays, increasing after 5 years
  • Pension scheme
  • Employee assistance program
