Job summary

GlobalLogic in London, United Kingdom is seeking a Quality Automation Specialist to advance our testing strategy across UI and API layers, in cloud-native delivery environments.

You will design and implement automated test scripts, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, coach junior testers, and collaborate with product teams to ensure high quality and fast delivery. Experience with Playwright, K6, Dev Containers and Kafka is desirable.

Job description

As a Quality Automation Specialist, you’ll be contributing to the transformation of testing using quality processes, tools and methodologies, significantly improving control, accuracy and integrity. You’ll make sure repeatable, constant and consistent quality is built into all phases of the idea to value life cycle at reduced cost or reduced time to market, to guarantee that any defects are identified as early as possible.

It’s a highly collaborative role, in which you’ll have the chance to work with colleagues at multiple levels, and with domain, platform and feature teams, to build in quality as an integral part of all activities.

Additionally, you’ll be:

• Evolving more predictive and intelligent testing approaches based on automation and innovative testing products and solutions
• Collaborating with your team to define and refine the scope of manual and automated testing, the creation of automated test scripts, user documentation and artefacts
• Making sure decisions are based on robust data, return on investment and value measures that demonstrate thoughtful and intelligent cost management
• Enabling the cross skilling of colleagues with the skills and benefits of end-to-end automation testing

Requirements

You’ll bring strong experience of working with Continuous Deployment practices in production environments. You’ll have a solid grounding in modern quality engineering practices and be comfortable using tools such as Dev Containers, Playwright and K6 to assure quality across the stack.

You’ll play a key role in shaping our approach to quality, working closely with the product group to understand business outcomes and partnering with engineers to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle through scalable, fully automated test strategies. Exposure to agentic coding practices where it adds value, would be hugely beneficial

• The ability to coach and mentor, with a passion for supporting and developing more junior colleagues
• Strong experience in end to end and automation testing using modern tooling covering UI and API, service level testing such as REST, messaging, and contract testing
• A working knowledge of Kafka and event driven architectures, including orchestrated and choreographed patterns, would be advantageous
• Experience operating in distributed, cloud native environments with complex failure modes, requiring a thoughtful and proactive approach to quality and assurance
