Job summary

Ably Resources Ltd. is working with a leading power systems engineering consultancy to recruit an EMT Specialist to join their growing team.

You will work on Electromagnetic Transient studies, PSCAD/EMTDC modelling, and converter-based technologies including HVDC and BESS, with hybrid UK-based roles in Glasgow or Manchester.

Qualifications

• Proven EMT studies experience with PSCAD modelling.
• Strong background in HVDC, BESS and renewable integration.
• Experience in grid integration and system stability studies.
• Experience in a power systems consultancy environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform EMT studies and PSCAD/EMTDC modelling and analysis.
• Develop and review reports for clients with clear recommendations.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on project delivery in a hybrid UK setup.

Im currently working with a fantastic Power Systems Engineering Consultancy who are looking to recruit an experienced EMT Specialist to join their growing team. Ideally, you’ll have experience in:

• Electromagnetic Transient (EMT) Studies
• PSCAD / EMTDC modelling and simulation
• Converter-based technologies including HVDC, BESS and renewable generation
• Transient analysis, system stability and grid integration studies
• Working within a power systems consultancy or similar engineering environment

The position can be based in either Glasgow or Manchester, with hybrid working available. Applicants must currently reside in the UK.
