The cleaning service is part of the Council’s Facilities Management service. It is a traded service, earning an income via contracts or service level agreements to carry out cleaning work across a variety of premises such as schools, offices and public buildings. It provides both general and specialist cleaning services.
The cleaning service has approximately 1000 cleaners made up of permanent, temporary, relief and casual staff who mainly work on a part time basis covering cleaning stints in a morning, evening or during the day.
This job is part of the specialist cleaning team which provide a cleaning service to Kirklees Homes & Neighbourhoods (KH&N) and Buildings Services. You will be responsible for clearing and cleaning of empty homes such as houses, flats and bungalows ensuring that high quality cleaning is provided to achieve the Lettable standard and agreed standards in a manner which is safe to you colleagues and other building users.
