Job summary

Agincare is recruiting a dedicated Support Worker for a unique service in Sileby, Leicestershire, supporting 9 individuals to live independently in their own homes within the community. You’ll join a team delivering person-centred care and positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic and positive approach to your role.
• Ability to support individuals with learning disabilities, autism, mental health and complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Encouraging – people to play active roles in the communities in which they live, to encourage independence.
• Supporting – Activities of daily Living including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals and budgeting.
• Communicating - effectively communicate using people’s chosen methods
• Engaging - promoting and motivating people we support to enhance their quality of life
• Specialising - supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches
• Recording - keeping accurate records & reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management
• Team player – Working as part of a team, as well as being able to work using your own initiative.
