Job summary

Affinity Trust in East Sussex is seeking a Support Worker to empower people with learning disabilities to live life their way. You will help with daily activities, enable choices, and support participation in community activities such as theatre, church visits, meals, and outings.

You will assist with communication using conversation and technology like iPads, and provide personal care, medication support, and mobility assistance where needed.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
• Willingness to work flexibly across the week including weekends and some sleep-in shifts.
• Full training provided in health & social care.

Responsibilities

• Support people with learning disabilities to live life their way, building confidence, making choices and enjoying meaningful activities.
• Help people communicate using conversation and technology like iPads.
• Empower, respect and enable independence in daily living, personal care, medications, and mobility as needed.
