Job summary

CareTech UK Ltd in Prestwich, Bury, is seeking a female Support Worker to join Highfield Road services, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. This permanent, full-time role offers 37.5 hours weekly on a rota, including evenings and weekends, with DBS and visa considerations noted.

You will provide person-centred support, assist with daily living skills, promote independence and wellbeing, and maintain records while working as part of a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis
• Experience of supporting adults with Autism, Learning Disabilities and Complex Needs
• Drivers are preferred but no essential
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech)
• Good communication and written skills
• Ability to keep calm under pressure
• Confidence to work alone and also be part of a team (family)

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans
• Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required
• Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing
• Support activities, appointments, and community access
• Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team
• Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins
