Cartrefi Cymru Co-operative is seeking a Female Support Worker in Pentraeth/Bodffordd to help individuals with learning disabilities lead happy, active lives. You’ll support with daily choices, community activities, and personal care, while empowering clients to achieve personal goals and maintain independence.

Roles include day, evening, weekend shifts and sleep-ins. Training is provided; driving is essential for transporting individuals to activities and appointments.

Qualifications

• Patience and empathy in supporting individuals.
• Clear communication with professionals and families.
• Full driving licence is essential.
• Having access to your own car for transporting people we support.
• Ability to record events with empathy and accuracy.
• Female applicant is a genuine occupational requirement for this role.

Responsibilities

• Actively supporting 5 individuals in making choices and setting goals.
• Assist with daily decisions about dress, meals, activities, and finances.
• Conduct long shifts in the community and shorter visits for personal care or meals.
• Empower individuals to follow through on choices and participate in structured activities.
• Provide practical support for paying bills, home maintenance, and staying connected with others.
