Job summary

Kingsway Park High School is seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant to join our Additional Needs team in a vibrant mainstream secondary setting in Rochdale. You will support students with SEND, SEMH and diverse learning needs, delivering targeted interventions and adapting activities to individual needs.

Working alongside teachers and the SENDCo, you will help build confidence, independence and engagement, while promoting positive behaviour and inclusive practice across lessons and school life.

Responsibilities

• Support students with SEND, SEMH and additional learning needs in the classroom.
• Deliver targeted interventions for individuals and small groups.
• Adapt learning activities and resources to meet individual needs.
• Promote students' confidence, independence and engagement in learning.
• Support students' social, emotional and communication development.
• Collaborate with teachers, SEND team and external professionals.
• Monitor and record student progress and contribute to support planning.
• Encourage positive behaviour and help overcome barriers to learning.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
• Participate in duties and enrichment activities.
