Job summary

Vision for Education is looking for a Classroom Support Assistant in Chesterfield to help pupils with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours participate in lessons and activities. You will support individuals to achieve their learning goals and take part in a range of activities including physical activity and crafts.

The role is Monday to Friday, full time, temporary to permanent with a start date ASAP.

Qualifications

• Experience working with behaviours that challenge is highly desirable.
• Enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service or willingness to apply.
• Ability to work on initiative and with pupils with SEND.
• Driving licence or access to reliable transport.
• Availability Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with Learning Disabilities and challenging behaviours to engage in lessons and activities.
• Assist and encourage pupils to participate in all school activities and crafts.
• Support learning and development in line with individual needs and goals.
• Adapt to varying SEN needs and provide a safe environment for learners.
