Job summary

St Martin’s Catholic Primary School in Reading is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our enthusiastic team. The role mixes general classroom support, leading intervention groups and 1-1 support for a named child. The successful candidate will be highly committed to supporting children’s learning, enthusiastic, flexible, and possess excellent communication skills.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed. Closing date: 19 October 2026. Start date: 2 November 2026.

Qualifications

• The role will be a mixture of general classroom support, leading intervention groups and 1-1 support for a named child.
• We welcome applications from candidates who are passionate about learning and are committed to young people with experience of working or volunteering with children.
• You do not need to have had any experience of working specifically in a school.
