Job summary

Philosophy Education is assisting a popular secondary school in Ealing, West London to recruit a dedicated Pastoral Support Worker starting ASAP during term-time. You will join the inclusion and student development team to support learning and wellbeing.

You'll help students overcome barriers, liaise with tutors and SEN, monitor behaviour and attendance, and contribute to whole-school wellbeing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a secondary school or educational setting.
• Pastoral or student support experience is essential.
• Empathetic, patient approach with young people.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the pastoral team in personal development of students towards values, character strengths, attitudes and behaviour.
• To communicate with tutors and SEN department so that strategies can be actioned.
• Supporting students with social, emotional, and wellbeing needs, signposting extra help.
• Meeting with parents, carers, and external agencies to discuss progress or concerns.
• Assisting with behaviour monitoring, attendance tracking, and record keeping.
• Contributing to whole-school initiatives that support inclusion and student wellbeing.
• Working with teaching staff to ensure consistent pastoral support across year groups.
