Job summary

Ackerman Pierce Company is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Duty Team in London. You will conduct high-quality assessments for adults with physical, sensory and cognitive needs, promoting independence, safety and wellbeing in the community.

The role requires HCPC registration and experience in adult social care or community settings, with a fast-paced environment and duty roster involvement.

Qualifications

• Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration.
• Experience working with adults in health, social care or community settings.
• Strong assessment, analytical and risk-assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertake timely occupational therapy assessments for adults in line with Care Act 2014 and local procedures.
• Assess functional needs and identify interventions to maximise independence and reduce risks.
• Complete equipment, adaptations and practical solutions assessments to support people at home.
• Identify and respond to urgent and high-risk referrals.
• Provide recommendations regarding adaptations and equipment.
• Collaborate with social workers, health professionals, housing colleagues and other agencies.
• Maintain accurate case records and manage workload by prioritising risk and need.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
