Job summary

Pawlett Primary School is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our forward-thinking team. This fixed-term role supports pupils to engage confidently in learning, helping with planned lessons, resources, and recording progress in partnership with teachers, parents and carers.

Hours are 18.75 per week during term time with INSET days, and the role offers term-time pay, a supportive school community and access to professional development under Pathway Trust’s values-driven ethos.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with individual needs and additional needs.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and adapt to changing needs.
• Capable of delivering pre-planned lessons to small groups.
• Builds positive relationships with students, staff and families.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom support for pupils, planned and supervised by teachers.
• Support colleagues with resource preparation, display and pupil care needs.
• Keep records of work to provide feedback and general support.
• Accurately record student progress and liaise with parents and carers.
