Job summary

FCWA invites applications for an IDVA (Independent Domestic Violence Advisor) based in Blackpool. The role involves managing high-profile, intensive case work to assess risk and needs of survivors, and to support empowerment toward independent lives free from abuse.

The post requires an enhanced DBS clearance, 37.5 hours per week (Mon-Fri, 9:00–17:00) at FCWA Offices, 77 Montague Street, Blackpool. Starting salary £26,500 (unqualified) to £28,500 (qualified or after 2 years)."

Qualifications

• Experience in high-risk case management and safeguarding.
• Understanding of SafeLives DASH Risk Assessment and safety planning.
• Commitment to ongoing training and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Manage high profile/intensive case work.
• Identify risks and needs of survivors, prioritising those at highest risk.
• Support empowerment of survivors and help them regain control of their lives.
• Ensure safety and support plans are regularly updated and outcome-focused.
