Job summary

Scottish Borders Council is seeking a Temporary Secondment Teacher of Additional Needs at Earlston High School. The post requires GTCS registration and a teaching degree (PGCE) with responsibilities spanning classroom teaching, curriculum development, assessment, and pupil welfare.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Teaching assigned classes with preparation and correction.
• Developing the school curriculum.
• Assessing, recording and reporting on pupil progress.
• Preparing pupils for examinations and assisiting with administration.
• Providing advice and guidance to pupils on their education.
• Promoting and safeguarding pupil health, welfare and safety.
• Working in partnership with parents, support staff and other professionals.
• Undertaking continuing professional development.
• Contributing to school planning and raising achievement.
