The Sheffield City Council is seeking a sessional Youth Worker to support the Youth Voice and Influence Service in listening to and shaping services for young people in the city. This role involves planning, organising and delivering face-to-face sessions with occasional evening or weekend activities.

Qualifications

• Experience of working or volunteering with young people (aged 11–25).
• An understanding of youth participation and involvement activities.
• A passion for supporting young people to share their views and take part in social action.
• A commitment to equality, inclusion and creative youth work practice.

Responsabilités

• Support the delivery of youth voice and influence activities across the city.
• Assist in facilitating group sessions, meetings and events with diverse groups of young people.
• Support young people take part in consultations, social action and decision‑making opportunities.
• Build positive relationships to encourage regular participation and reduce barriers to involvement.
