Job summary

FareShare Midlands is recruiting an experienced SEQF Employment Specialist in Gravelly Hill, Birmingham. The role will involve direct participant work to identify barriers, develop action plans, and deliver coaching to achieve competitive employment.

You will build employer partnerships, facilitate workshops, and apply SEQF/IPS models across five stages, ensuring safeguarding and quality standards while supporting people facing barriers to work.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering one-to-one and group coaching sessions.
• Experience supporting individuals with employment barriers.
• Knowledge of SEQF or IPS supported employment frameworks.
• Strong employer engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, recruit, and register eligible participants, conducting inductions and assessing employment barriers.
• Develop personalized vocational profiles, action plans, and career goals with participants.
• Deliver one-to-one and group coaching, employability workshops, and workplace skills training.
• Apply the SEQF model, guiding participants through all five stages to achieve employment.
• Develop relationships with local employers to create inclusive work opportunities.
• Negotiate reasonable adjustments and return-to-work strategies with employers.
• Support employers to embed inclusive practices that meet needs of participants.
• Maintain records of progress, outcomes and employer engagement in line with SEQF standards.
• Arrange access to training opportunities and partnerships with support providers.
• Ensure placements comply with safeguarding, health, and safety requirements.
