We are looking for a passionate individual to join our team in Wigan & Leigh, dedicated to making a positive impact in our clients' lives. We provide support, respect, and a safe environment, tailoring our approach to each individual’s needs to discover the best treatment and care options. We aim to empower individuals to reshape their lives, foster personal growth, and embrace life to its fullest. We have a position in our IPS team to support clients in finding meaningful employment. We are interested in applicants with experience in supporting disadvantaged individuals in finding work or those who have worked in recruitment or HR and understand placing individuals into work.

Job Opportunity

Our IPS (Individual Placement and Support Employment Specialists) team seeks to increase the number of people entering meaningful employment from our drug and alcohol support service. This is a new project, offering an exciting opportunity to make a real difference. Every day is different, and we treat each person as an individual, so flexibility, curiosity, and good listening skills are essential. For more about IPS support, see this video.

Please note that working hours are Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm, with some on-call work in evenings and weekends. This is a fixed-term contract until 31st March 2026.

Essential Skills

  • Experience helping people facing severe labour market disadvantages to obtain or retain work
  • Understanding of issues faced by people in treatment/recovery in employment contexts
  • Ability to develop relationships with stakeholders, including employers, partner agencies, clients, and their families
  • Knowledge of a broad range of occupations and effective employer engagement strategies
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with Office Suite and Google Workspace
