Job summary

Wiltshire Council is seeking an Employment Specialist to join the Connect to Work programme, helping people into paid employment and supporting them to sustain it.

You will assess barriers, identify skills and goals, and develop action plans. You’ll liaise with employers to broaden opportunities, advise on reasonable adjustments, and provide in-work support while managing a caseload of up to 25 participants.

Qualifications

• Experience helping people into work.
• NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent).
• Good understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Work face-to-face with unemployed participants to identify barriers and create action plans.
• Build strong relationships with local employers to create inclusive job opportunities.
• Provide ongoing in-work support to ensure successful employment.
• Manage a caseload of up to 25 participants and keep accurate records.
