Employment Solicitor (Remote) needed, £23.55phPAYE - Reference: RQ1525500

We are looking for an employment Solicitor.

This role may be remote; further details will be discussed with the suitable candidate.

• Attend and advise committees, sub-committees, and panels of the Council as instructed by the Director of Governance and Legal.
• Provide legal advice to Members of the Council, Officers, and associated bodies, companies, and organizations as directed.
• Implement or facilitate the implementation of Council decisions related to legal matters.
• Conduct litigation on behalf of the Council, managing proceedings and acting as advocate before courts, inquiries, hearings, and tribunals.
• Negotiate and draft contracts, agreements, and governance instruments.
• Prepare legal documents for proceedings and undertake statutory or administrative tasks as required.
• Handle disputes and complaints.
• Stay updated on legal developments and advise the Council accordingly.
• Assist in providing comprehensive legal services to the Council.
• Support senior staff and assist junior staff with legal issues.

This is a full-time role on a temporary contract basis.
