Job summary

LR Legal Recruitment is supporting a Legal 500 firm in the Southeast/Kent to hire an Employment Solicitor on a part-time basis. The role offers flexibility in hours and exposure to a broad range of employment matters, including contentious and non-contentious work for corporate and high net worth clients.

The successful candidate will be a qualified solicitor with 4+ years PQE in employment law, capable of managing a varied caseload.

• Strong experience across contentious and non-contentious matters.
• Ability to manage a varied caseload and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Handle a wide range of employment matters for corporate and high net worth individuals.
• Advise on unfair dismissal, whistleblowing, discrimination, settlements, TUPE, disciplinary matters.
• Represent both claimants and respondents in employment disputes.
• Support firm’s busy Employment team with casework and client liaison.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor to join a highly regarded Employment team, with a legal 500 firm based in the Southeast/Kent.

Our client, a reputable full-service law firm with multiple offices, is seeking a talented and motivated Employment Solicitor on a part-time basis to strengthen their busy and expanding team.

This role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for part-time hours, with options being either reduced hours (e.g. 5 days per week, 10am to 3pm) or 3/4 days in the office. This is negotiable so please reach out for details.

The role

As a valued member of their dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to handle a wide range of employment matters, representing both corporate and high net value individuals on a range of cases. Matters will cover both contentious and non-contentious cases.

Typical matters you might work on will include employment-related disputes such as unfair dismissal, whistleblowing, discrimination, settlement agreements, TUPE, advising on disciplinary proceedings, advising HR on a range of internal matters, and more.

What are they looking for?

• Qualified Solicitor, ideally 4+ years PQE, although solicitors at all levels will be considered
• Strong experience in employment law
• Ability to manage and prioritise a varied caseload
• Experience in representing both claimant and respondents in employment cases
