Job Opportunity: Solicitor (2 – 5 PQE) - Employment Team

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Solicitor (2 – 5 PQE) to join their Employment Team. This is a great opportunity for someone who has the drive and enthusiasm to further their career, build strong client relationships, and help to grow the team.

Responsibilities:
  1. Advising clients in relation to their employment law matters, including Claimants on settlement agreements.
  2. Defending Tribunal claims on behalf of clients and being involved in all stages of the Tribunal process, including preparing Grounds of Resistance, disclosure, drafting witness statements, advising on merits, and attending Tribunal hearings on behalf of clients.
  3. Drafting documents for clients, including contracts of employment and reviewing and advising on policies and procedures.
  4. Keeping up to date with employment law developments and preparing updates and training clients in relation to those developments.
  5. Advising and assisting clients in relation to their employment law matters, ensuring a high level of client service is maintained at all times and that the client’s aims are met (subject to professional and regulatory requirements).
  6. Managing the client relationship.
  7. Undertaking business development activities.
  8. Complying with all legislative and regulatory requirements.
  9. Updating and consulting with Senior Associates and Partners.
Requirements:
  1. Ability to deal with straightforward transactions, including unfamiliar tasks which present a range of problems.
  2. Uses own judgement but may need supervision at differing levels of transaction.
  3. Identifies the legal principles relevant to the area of practice and applies them appropriately.
  4. Uses experience to check the information provided.
  5. Goes the extra mile and produces good quality work.
