Employment Solicitor is required to join an in-house organisation based in Cheshire with just about 30,000 employees.

About the company:

Exciting time to join a well-established and well-known business within the Cheshire area that has recently rebranded and had record growth last year and has significant expansion plans with partnerships and growth internationally. You will be joining an established legal team and one other experienced Employment lawyer within the team.

About the Employment Solicitor Role:

  • Undertaking Respondent Employment Matters on behalf of the organisation which will mainly consist of employment tribunal matters and some non-contentious employment matters.
  • You will undertake casework required for employment tribunal matters within the business. External counsel undertakes advocacy; however, you will undertake CMH and preliminary hearings.
  • Employment matters typically include discrimination and unfair dismissal.
  • Opportunity to get involved with non-contentious employment work alongside the commercial and corporate team working on internal projects.

Requirements of the Employment Solicitor Role:

  • Strong Employment Law experience within a private practice or in-house setting.
  • Candidates are required to have experience in defending employment claims rather than claimants; however, we are open to considering candidates with this experience.
  • Ability to work independently on your own caseload.
