Job description

A Legal 500 law firm based in Birmingham is looking for an Employment solicitor to join their team. This role will provide you with a competitive salary, good quality work and a great platform for career progression.

What You'll do:

• Provide clients with great quality advice on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters including but not limited to disciplinary matters, grievances, TUPE, employee consultation and Employment Tribunal Claims.
• Act for a wide range of clients including acting for employers on a national and multi-national scale, assist in managing their workforce issues, as well as defending employment litigation.
• Work with a varied client base across the public and private sector for example housing, commercial and education sectors.
• An active involvement in business development and marketing is beneficial to maintain and develop a strong network for the department and firm. This is a great opportunity to be involved with national and international work.

What You'll bring:

• The Employment Solicitor must be UK qualified with at least 1 – 4 years’ post qualification experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, problem-solving and negotiation skills, and commercial acumen.
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and drafting skills
