Job Description:

TPF Recruitment is supporting a top 15 firm of chartered accountants based in Maidstone, Kent, seeking an Employment and Shares Tax Manager to join their team. This position is within the firm's personal tax department. You will work closely with the Partners, providing employment and share scheme services to a diverse portfolio of clients, including owner-managed businesses and larger, listed companies. Your responsibilities will include compliance, tax advisory, structuring, project-based work, transaction work such as due diligence, and report preparation. You will also participate in business development initiatives, contributing to the growth of the firm. This is a new role in a growing top-tier chartered accountancy practice that offers a modern working environment, excellent career prospects, and a good work-life balance.

You will be responsible for:
  • Developing and managing employment tax relationships with clients.
  • Leading and actively participating in advisory projects for clients, including collaboration with other departments and offices.
  • Reporting directly to tax partners and directors.
  • Identifying opportunities to offer additional services to clients and contacts.
  • Leading and supporting business development efforts.
  • Managing financial performance of your client and project work.
  • Billing responsibilities, balancing recovery and client expectations.
  • Assessing and managing risks in client interactions.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of work with attention to detail and quality, understanding its impact on client service.
