The role will leverage strong relationships to promote inclusive employment practices, such as Disability Confident, work trials, and working interviews, with a primary focus on meeting employer expectations.

You will be supporting individuals who have been long-term unemployed, with possible health barriers. You will provide motivational support to build positive relationships, guide, inspire, challenge, encourage, and help individuals obtain sustainable employment.

You will manage employer accounts, identify new and existing opportunities, and take responsibility for generating new business leads through approaches including telephone contact, face-to-face meetings, delivering presentations, and online campaigns, working with the group’s marketing and communications team using multiple channels, including social media.

Key Responsibilities:

  2. Identify and generate sustainable job opportunities for programme participants.
  3. Promote the benefits of the Restart Programme to employers, highlighting available support for recruitment and onboarding.
  4. Match suitable candidates to job vacancies, supporting both the employer and the participant throughout the recruitment process.
  5. Work closely with Employment Advisors to understand participants’ skills, aspirations, and barriers to work.
  6. Organise and attend employer engagement events, job fairs, and sector-based work academies.
  7. Maintain accurate records using internal CRM systems and ensure compliance and contractual obligations are met.
  8. Monitor job outcomes and provide aftercare to employers and participants to support job retention.
  9. Stay up to date with local labour market trends and employer needs.

Skills & Experience:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in employer engagement, business development, recruitment, or a related field, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Target-driven with the ability to work under pressure to meet KPIs.
  • Good understanding of employment support programmes and barriers to employment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM databases.
  • A positive, can-do attitude with a commitment to supporting others to succeed.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of the Restart Programme or similar employability contracts.
  • Existing employer networks in relevant sectors.
