Job description

Sellick Partnership is excited to be working with a national, Legal 500 ranked firm in Manchester who are looking for an Employment Senior Associate to join their team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Advise clients on employment law issues like discrimination, wrongful dismissal, and employee rights.
  • Represent clients in employment disputes and tribunal claims.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations, including handling grievances and performance management.
  • Draft and review contracts, policies, and legal documents.
  • Support business development and maintain client relationships.
  • Keep clients updated on changes in employment law.
  • Mentor and support junior associates in their development.
  • Lead negotiations and settlements for the best client outcomes.

The successful candidate:

  • 8 + years PQE in Employment Law.
  • Skilled in handling employment disputes and representing clients in tribunal claims.
  • Experience in drafting and reviewing contracts and employment policies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and advisory skills.
  • Ability to manage employee relations and workplace issues.
  • Experience in mentoring junior associates.
  • Deep knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
  • Proven ability to build client relationships and contribute to business development.
  • Experience in managing complex legal cases and achieving successful outcomes.
