Summary

Ready to bring your employment law expertise to one of the UK’s most iconic brands? M&S is looking for an experienced Employment Paralegal to join our in-house Legal Team and make a real impact. This is a 14 month Fixed Term Contract position.

In this dynamic role, you will; Manage a varied portfolio of Employment Tribunal cases, Advise on a wide range of employment law and people-related matters, and Collaborate with teams across the business in a fast-paced, supportive environment

What you’ll do

Your key accountabilities will include

  • Handling cases from start to finish, including drafting responses and witness statements, preparing for hearing and conducting telephone PHs
  • Supporting the ER team on employment related policies and initiatives
  • Drafting and negotiating settlement agreements
  • Conducting legal research on a variety of queries and matters
  • Providing ad hoc support and advice to HR colleagues and partners

Who you are

Your skills and experience will include

  • Previous experience as a paralegal working in an employment team
  • Strong organisation, planning and project management skills
  • Proficiency with IT including Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Teams in particular)
