About your new role

Our market leading Employment, Pensions and Immigration team advises employers across the UK on all aspects of employment, pensions and immigration law. We are currently recruiting for a Paralegal to join our Employment team, assisting on a complex caseload of employment tribunal litigation work. This role will be closely aligned to working with a specific client in the public sector.

The role is based in either our Liverpool or Birmingham offices and is offered in line with our Hybrid Working Policy. The firm supports and encourages flexible working arrangements.

As an Employment Paralegal you will support the team with a mixed caseload of employment work.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Support and assist fee earners and other members of the team with a mixed caseload of employment tribunal work
  • Draft and prepare letters, e-mails, documents, tribunal responses, bundles, witness statements and reports
  • Engage in routine telephone calls with clients, tribunals, solicitors / barristers and ACAS
  • Work in accordance with client and internal SLAs
  • Achieve set financial and chargeable targets
  • Produce monthly and ad-hoc client MI reports
  • Work in accordance with Weightmans’ values and procedures
  • Draft articles and legal updates
  • Assist with business development initiatives including training and networking
NB: The role will also be subject to additional security vetting checks.
