About the role

Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking to recruit an employment solicitor at Managing Associate level to join their highly regarded Employment & Incentives team in London.

This is an exceptional opportunity to work on cutting-edge, high-profile and commercially sensitive mandates. The successful candidate will be trusted to work directly with senior client stakeholders, including C-suite and Board members, on some of the most complex employment and people-related matters in the market.

Although, the role is set at Managing Associate level, the growth of the team means that there are genuine long-term prospects to progress towards Counsel and Partnership.

Cutting-edge, high-profile employment work

You will work across a diverse and high-quality caseload including non-contentious transactional work as well as highly complex, often sensitive employment litigation. As an overview your caseload will include:

  • Supporting private and public M&A and Private Equity transactions
  • Reorganisations and restructurings
  • Corporate advisory matters
  • Strategic and high-profile mandates, including:
    • Workplace investigations
    • Senior appointments and exits
    • Conduct and culture issues
    • High-stakes employment litigation

Your responsibilities will involve:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating documents
  • Leading on internal and external project management
  • Chairing meetings and managing key client relationships
  • Advising Blue Chip and FTSE clients on corporate governance and obligations
  • Supporting and mentoring junior lawyers within the team
About you

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5-7 years' PQE (UK or equivalent, with adjustments made for overseas-qualified lawyers)
  • Strong transactional and contentious experience in employment matters, with a willingness to develop this further
  • Excellent technical and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple matters
  • A collaborative approach, with appetite for cutting-edge mandates, thought leadership, and business development
  • A passion for building relationships and contributing to the strategic growth of the practice
