Overview

A Leeds office of a successful and established law firm with an excellent employee welfare reputation requires an experienced Employment Lawyer to join their wider litigation department of over 50 fee earners. This Employment Lawyer role is on a hybrid working pattern and seeks a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with a good civil litigation background, preferably with Employment Law, to manage a mixed caseload of contentious and non-contentious Employment Law matters.

Responsibilities
  • Contentious Employment – Manage a full caseload including advising on Employment Tribunal claims and processes, drafting pleadings, witness statements, negotiating settlements, settlement agreements and instructing counsel.
  • Non-Contentious Employment – Advise clients on employment contracts, employee handbooks, disciplinary procedures and corporate support advice to client HR and senior managers. Produce Employment Law updates and provide training to clients.
  • Assist the department with business development and marketing.
Qualifications
  • Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with a solid civil litigation background, preferably with Employment Law experience.
Salary

Salary dependent upon experience to £55,000.
