JCW is seeking a dynamic and experienced UK-qualified legal professional for a 12-month contract position, starting ASAP. In this role, you’ll provide comprehensive employment law advice to a global insurance group, with a strong focus on ensuring compliance with local labour laws while supporting the operational needs of the business.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Offering guidance on the entire employee lifecycle, including employee relations, discipline, and terminations.
• Advising on corporate restructurings, acquisitions, and dispositions.
• Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, integrating these into HR processes.
• Providing practical strategies, risk mitigation tools, and best practice templates to HR and the business.

As part of a global Employment Advisory team, you’ll collaborate with internal clients, HR, and external counsel, contributing to a positive, knowledge-sharing environment. You’ll also have the opportunity to lead training initiatives and share your expertise across various platforms.

Position Requirements:

• UK Qualified Lawyer with significant experience in employment law.
• In-house experience in a multinational company, preferably within regulated industries like banking, insurance, or financial services.
• Proven expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating HR-related documents.
• Ability to translate complex employment law into actionable business strategies and implement policies to mitigate risks.
• Familiarity with corporate HR operations, systems, and the full employee lifecycle.
