Job summary

Forbes Solicitors LLP, based at Gordon House Office, is seeking an Associate Solicitor to join our Employment team. The role is full-time, 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a focus on delivering high-quality employment law advice to a diverse client base.

You will manage a varied caseload, represent clients at hearings, and work closely with senior colleagues to develop strategy and fees within targets.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor or CILEX with at least 3 years PQE in Employment law.
• Experience conducting advocacy and appearing in courts/tribunals.
• Proven ability to manage own caseload while meeting deadlines and generating fees.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied/complex caseload of Employment matters.
• Represent clients at Court/Tribunal hearings (Unfair dismissal, Discrimination, TUPE, Redundancy).
• Provide expert legal advice and strategic guidance to clients.
• Produce accurate legal documentation within the solicitor’s expertise.
• Analyse matters, assess risks, and determine case strategy.
• Negotiate, mediate or litigate to achieve optimal client outcomes.
• Collaborate with Senior Associates and Partners on complex cases.
• Build positive relationships with current and prospective clients.
