LegalVision Law UK Ltd is seeking a 1-2 PQE Employment Associate to join our bustling Manchester-based team. You will support a growing SME/enterprise portfolio, advising on a wide range of employment and health and safety matters, including contracts, policies and contentious issues.

While based in Manchester is ideal, flexible and fully remote arrangements are welcome for the right candidate. You will handle matters end-to-end in a fast-paced environment and communicate directly with clients

The Opportunity

We are seeking a 1-2 PQE English-qualified lawyer to join our successful Employment practice as an Associate in February 2027. In this role, you will support a growing portfolio of SME and enterprise clients, advising on a wide range of employment law and health and safety matters.

LegalVision’s clients span a broad range of industries, including SaaS/IT, healthcare, e-commerce, construction, and recruitment. The work is varied and hands-on, involving drafting and advising on employment contracts, settlement agreements, staff handbooks, and health and safety policies, assisting with contentious employment matters such as pre-tribunal advice and Employment Tribunal claims, and managing redundancy and TUPE processes for clients.

This role is well suited to a lawyer with broad employment law expertise, who is comfortable managing matters end-to-end in a fast-paced, high-volume practice. You need to be confident in communicating directly with clients and delivering clear, practical, and commercially focused advice.

While we would ideally like the successful candidate to be based in our Manchester office, we are open to flexible and fully remote working arrangements for the right person.

The Ideal Candidate

• At least 1 year of post-qualification experience as an employment lawyer in a reputable UK law firm or in-house legal team


• Broad experience advising on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters, including employment contracts, policies, and handbooks, employee relations, disciplinary and grievance processes, terminations, restructures, and redundancies


• Confident advising employers across a diverse client base, from SMEs to larger corporates


• Strong track record of managing matters end-to-end in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment


• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high technical and client service standards


• Comfortable with direct client engagement, including delivering clear, pragmatic, and commercially focused advice, building long-term, trusted client relationships, and translating complex employment law issues into practical solutions for SME and corporate clients


• Commercially minded, proactive, and aligned with a modern, client-centric legal services model


• Experience supervising trainees and/or junior lawyers and working collaboratively within a high-performing team
