Employment Lawyer | Senior Associate | Equal Pay & Pay Transparency | Leading Global Firm | Birmingham | Hybrid Working Available

A leading global law firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its specialist Employment team in Birmingham, focusing on Equal Pay and Pay Equity/Transparency. This is a permanent opportunity with flexible hybrid working options available.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a market-leading practice at the forefront of evolving legislation in this area, particularly in light of the European Pay Transparency Directive (EPTD).

The Role

This is a key strategic hire within the firm's national Employment Group, advising global and UK clients on complex and high-value pay equity matters, including:

  • Non-contentious advisory work on equal pay audits and grievances
  • High-profile and high-stakes equal pay litigation, including class actions
  • Multi-jurisdictional pay equity projects and EPTD compliance
  • Broader discrimination and diversity-related advisory matters
  • Working with clients across sectors including retail, financial services, education, healthcare, technology, government, and utilities

You will work closely with Partners and senior stakeholders and play a key role in managing client relationships, project delivery and mentoring junior colleagues.

Qualified solicitor with 4-8 years' PQE in employment law
