Support customers to address their barriers to employment by providing tailored packages of support to help them acquire the skills and confidence needed to secure and sustain employment.

Be the coach and mentor, acting as the principal highly trusted contact to build strong positive relationships, guide, motivate, challenge, encourage, and assist customers in obtaining sustainable employment.

Achieve delivery targets by working with customers to identify employment opportunities and support them into and during employment.

  1. Meet personal performance targets and Key Performance Indicators.
  2. Manage a caseload of customers using various coaching strategies to overcome barriers to sustainable employment.
  3. Undertake in-depth assessments with a suite of tools to understand each customer's circumstances, preferences, and barriers.
  4. Co-produce personalized SMART action plans with sequenced interventions and development opportunities.
  5. Utilize local specialist services to support specific issues (e.g., substance misuse, anger management, debt advice, health, vocational training).
  6. Use social prescribing to improve customer circumstances (e.g., healthy eating classes, smoking cessation, social groups).
  7. Collaborate with multiple agencies to develop holistic support approaches (e.g., NHS mental health services, Local Authority Housing Services). Conduct case conferences with external agencies with customer consent.
  8. Support customers in all aspects of job search and interview preparation to match them to suitable jobs for sustained employment and career development.
  9. Understand the local labour market to source appropriate job opportunities.
  10. Market specific customers to employers.
  11. Identify employer recruitment needs and undertake tailored pre-screens and assessments.
  12. Develop effective in-work support plans with participants and employers, including job carving when appropriate.
  13. Promote and ensure health and safety within the customer's workplace.
  14. Develop specialist knowledge areas (e.g., disabilities, housing, benefits) and advise other staff accordingly.
  15. Build relationships with key stakeholders to maximize customer opportunities.
  16. Participate in continuous improvement activities to deliver excellent customer service.
  17. Maintain IT files and customer records in compliance with standards.
  18. Comply with company policies on data security, safeguarding, and health & safety.
  19. Work from local hubs and outreach locations, sometimes alongside other services, to increase accessibility.
  20. Be flexible with working hours, including evenings and weekends, and based in different locations as needed.
  21. Actively promote Pluss, its vision, and values, including marketing activities like networking and event attendance.
  22. Uphold safeguarding and promote organizational values related to ethics, integrity, social responsibility, equal opportunities, and diversity.
  23. Act on safeguarding concerns following policies and procedures.
