Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Employment Associate to join their leading Employment team. This is a key role advising a diverse client base across sectors including retail, leisure, professional services, financial services, arts and culture, and media & tech. You will handle a mix of strategic, contentious, non-contentious, and advisory UK employment law matters, working closely with partners and other senior lawyers to deliver exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities

You will provide end-to-end support on a wide range of employment law issues, including:

Advisory and Strategic Matters

Advising on worker status and rights of atypical workers

Managing disciplinary, grievance, and capability/ill-health matters

Navigating redundancy, reorganisation, and workforce strategy

Providing whistleblowing, discrimination, and harassment advice

Advising on high-level terminations, senior exits, and remuneration packages

Supporting partnership and LLP matters and disputes

Contentious Matters

Handling claims in Employment Tribunals and appeal courts

Representing clients in High Court proceedings, including injunctions

Managing workplace investigations and related risk management

Supporting litigation linked to director/shareholder disputes

Transactional Support

Advising on employment aspects of M&A and real estate transactions

Conducting employment due diligence and drafting relevant documentation

Advising on bonus, incentive, and benefit arrangements

Supporting clients with regulatory compliance under SMCR and related frameworks

Regulatory and Cross-Practice Collaboration

Advising financial services clients on conduct rules, fitness and propriety, and regulatory references

Working cross-functionally with corporate, immigration, tax, litigation, and regulatory teams

Requirements
