Job summary

Birchrose Associates in London is recruiting an Employment Associate to join its Tier 1 Employment practice. The role involves advising on a broad range of matters for employers and senior executives, including cross-border work in a leading international context.

You will work closely with partners on both advisory and disputes work, handling contentious and non-contentious matters, HR issues, and workplace policies with early responsibility in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• UK qualified Employment Associate with 3 PQE+.
• Strong employment law experience within a well-ranked practice.
• Experience handling both contentious and advisory matters.
• Strong respondent-side or mix of respondent and senior executive work.
• Experience advising clients across multiple sectors.

Responsibilities

The successful Employment Associate will join a firm that is consistently recognised in the legal directories, with its Employment practice ranked Tier 1 in the Legal 500 for Employers.

The Opportunity

The Employment team is widely recognised for its expertise in handling complex and high-stakes employment matters, acting for both employers and senior executives across a broad range of sectors, with particular strength across financial services, fashion and retail, luxury and media.

The firm is looking to recruit an Employment Associate to join the team as part of its continued growth.

Working closely with experienced partners and senior lawyers, the new hire will advise on a broad range of employment matters across both advisory and disputes work.

This will include:

• Advising on contentious and non-contentious employment law matters
• Managing employment issues arising from recruitment through to termination
• Advising on day-to-day HR issues, employment policies and workplace procedures
• Supporting clients with employment disputes and litigation in the Employment Tribunal and High Court
• Advising both employers and senior executives on complex employment matters

Required

• UK qualified Employment Associate with 3 PQE +
• Strong employment law experience gained within a well-ranked Employment practice
• Experience handling both contentious and advisory employment matters
• Strong respondent-side experience, or a combination of respondent and senior executive work
• Experience advising clients across a variety of sectors
