As an Employment Advisor, you will work directly with a caseload of customers to help them overcome barriers to employment, providing vital support to help transform their lives. By motivating and empowering your clients, you will help them develop the skills and confidence needed for secure and sustained employment. You will develop strong relationships by encouraging, motivating, and challenging customers to reach their potential while meeting your own performance targets.

Your responsibilities include:

  1. Meeting personal performance targets and KPIs
  2. Managing a caseload of customers using coaching strategies to prepare them for interviews and job searches
  3. Conducting in-depth assessments to understand customers’ circumstances, preferences, and barriers
  4. Co-producing personalized SMART action plans with sequenced interventions
  5. Utilizing local specialist services to support issues like substance misuse, debt advice, and health
  6. Identifying employer recruitment needs and conducting tailored pre-screens and assessments
  7. Developing effective in-work support plans with participants and employers
  8. Participating in continuous improvement activities to enhance service quality
  9. Ensuring compliance with policies on data security, safeguarding, and health & safety
  10. Working from local hubs and outreach locations to increase accessibility

Candidate qualities include being customer-focused, a strong team player, IT literate, a good communicator, creative problem solver, and organized. Previous experience in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and familiarity with the Welfare to Work sector or employability industry is desirable.
