Job description

Would you like to help people with mental health support needs or neurodivergent individuals find meaningful employment? And work for a charity where you can build a proper career?

People we've placed with this charity are genuinely enjoying working there. They tell us the training is excellent, the support is fantastic, and many have already progressed their careers.

It's a large, well-established charity with plenty of opportunities to grow.

They've just launched a brand-new, long-term funded employment programme and are looking for 2 Employment Advisors in Ealing. One will support jobseekers with mental health support needs, and the other will support neurodivergent jobseekers.

What's the job?

You’ll support people with mental health support needs or neurodivergent jobseekers to find and keep meaningful work, helping them build confidence, achieve their goals and access the right employment opportunities.

You’ll receive full training in the IPS (Individual Placement and Support) model, managing a caseload of around 14-18 people.

This isn’t a desk job. You’ll be out in the community, working from Job Centres, NHS sites, coffee shops and community venues, as well as meeting local employers to create opportunities.

You’ll work independently much of the time, so you’ll need to be organised, comfortable managing your own diary and happy keeping your working location updated for safety and lone-working purposes.

It’s incredibly rewarding work, but it can be demanding. You’ll need resilience, good professional boundaries and the ability to balance supporting people with meeting targets, maintaining accurate records and safeguarding responsibilities.

Who are we looking for?

You don’t need to have done this exact job before.

You might come from mental health support, autism or ADHD services, employability, recruitment, B2B sales or another role helping people achieve their goals. We’re also interested in graduates with relevant paid or voluntary experience.

What’s important is that you’re confident talking to people, comfortable building relationships with employers and genuinely motivated to help others succeed. You’ll also need to be organised, comfortable with admin and enjoy working towards targets.

Full training is provided, including online learning, shadowing experienced colleagues and ongoing support from your Team Leader.

Salary & Interviews:

Salary: £32,500-£36,000 depending on experience.

Assessment Day: Friday 30 October (morning).

They’re combining the first and second stage interviews into one session, lasting approximately 2.5-3 hours. There’s a short presentation task to prepare beforehand, but don’t worry, we’ll brief you on exactly what’s needed.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.

Location: Community-based across Ealing. This isn’t a home-working role, so you’ll need to live within approximately one hour of the area.

Business travel between locations during the working day is covered. Your commute to your first location and home from your last location, including parking, is not covered.
