Employment Advisor

Salary: £31,930 per annum

Location: Hackney

Are you passionate about making a difference and creating positive social impact? As a Restart Advisor, you will play a transformational role in coaching and empowering individuals. You will help participants unlock their potential and guide them toward sustainable employment, covering areas from career coaching to personal development, and addressing complex challenges along the way.

What you'll be doing:

  1. Collaborating with participants through diagnostic assessments to identify barriers and create action plans that shift mindsets and outline steps needed to secure meaningful employment.
  2. Meeting and exceeding performance targets by continuously improving strategies and seeking input to deliver the best outcomes for participants and the wider community.
  3. Understanding and signposting participants to internal and external services that address needs such as debt management, mental health, and career coaching.
  4. Ensuring participants have well-crafted, professional CVs, tailored supporting statements, and cover letters to support their job searches.
  5. Preparing participants for interviews by conducting mock interviews and assessment activities, and helping them build confidence.
  6. Maintaining accurate electronic participant records reflecting the support offered, from coaching to employment placement, within required timescales and standards.

  • Experience working in fast-paced environments
  • The ability to motivate, inspire, and challenge participants to reach their full potential
  • Strong experience in delivering against and exceeding performance targets, engaging participants in personal growth and mindset transformation
  • Exceptional communication skills to inspire and influence participants, and to contact employers and external stakeholders for opportunities
  • Flexibility and creativity in solving complex challenges
  • High-level digital literacy
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage a varied caseload and deliver support while juggling priorities
