A leading charity organization in Greater London is seeking Employment Advisors to help individuals with mental health needs and physical disabilities gain employment. You will support clients throughout the job search process in local community settings. This full-time, permanent position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others, with training provided in employment support methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with people in a supportive role, regardless of background.
  • Proven ability to engage confidently with employers.
  • Comfortable working in community settings with vulnerable clients.
  • Recent experience hitting targets in an employment role for at least 1-2 years.

Overview

Would you like to join one of the UK's largest charities, recognised as a great place to work? We are recruiting multiple Employment Advisors across London to help people with mental health needs or physical disabilities get back into work.

The role

You'll support a small caseload of clients in your local borough, working in community settings such as libraries, job centres, and clinical services. From assessment and job searching through to coaching and in-work support, you'll be with clients every step of the way. Full training is provided in the IPS model of employment support.

What we''re looking for
  • Experience working with people in a supportive role (any background).
  • Ability to engage confidently with employers.
  • Comfortable working in the community with vulnerable clients.
  • Must have demonstrated hitting target in the same role for at least 1 - 2 years recently within employability
Locations

Locations available: Brent, Barnet, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Hillingdon & Harrow, Hounslow, Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea, Islington, Camden, Haringey. You''ll be based in one borough.

Assessment day

Assessment day with the charity: Shepherd''s Bush, 8 October (one stage - short presentation, interview, scenario exercise). 3 hours total (one stage).

Contract

Contract: Full-time, permanent, Monday to Friday, 9-5. Outreach based
