Job Description: Employment Advisor for Lewisham NHS Talking Therapies

The Lewisham NHS Talking Therapies Employment Team is seeking an Employment Advisor to support clients with mental health conditions in achieving and maintaining paid employment. The successful candidate will:

1. Provide effective employment advice tailored to individuals with mental health challenges.
2. Support clients in obtaining and sustaining employment opportunities.
3. Develop partnerships with local providers and services to meet employment support needs.

The role involves managing a caseload, building rapport with clients to boost confidence and skills, and working closely with clinicians to facilitate referrals and meet DWP funding expectations. The team works with clients experiencing mild to moderate mental health issues, helping them move towards their employment goals through signposting, advice, and confidence-building activities.

The position is based across Lewisham Borough, currently in a hybrid working arrangement, subject to change.
