Job summary

Grant Thornton (NI) LLP is seeking a Tax Executive to join our growing Employer Solutions team in Northern Ireland. You will advise on employment tax matters for owner-managed businesses to large corporates and deliver PAYE compliance, P11D reviews, ERS, PSAs and cross-border tax support.

The role involves collaborating with NI, Ireland and UK teams, maintaining quality, meeting deadlines, and developing technical knowledge in a supportive, client-focused environment.

Qualifications

• ATT qualified or studying towards CTA.
• A minimum of two years' experience within the tax department of a professional services firm.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• The ability to manage multiple deadlines and work on their own initiative.
• A collaborative approach and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.
• A genuine ambition to develop a successful career in tax.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with clients and understand their employment tax requirements.
• Work collaboratively with Employer Solutions teams in Northern Ireland, Ireland and the UK.
• Deliver high-quality employment tax compliance services and meet deadlines.
• Prepare technical reports and client correspondence with support from managers.
• Maintain high standards of quality and compliance with the firm's risk management procedures.
• Assist in managing work in progress and ensure assignments are delivered efficiently.
• Contribute to business development activities and identify opportunities to support clients.
• Take ownership of your professional development and continue to build technical knowledge.
