Job description

Employer Solutions Associate Director – Share Plans and Rewards

Make an Impact at RSM UK

At RSM, we celebrate individuality, fresh thinking, and collaboration. Our culture not only embraces change but also impacts it. We are committed to creating an environment where our people can make a difference — to themselves, their careers, their teams, and the success of RSM and our clients.

We are excited to be recruiting for an Employer Solutions Associate Director who can be based out of one of our national offices. The role involves leading the needs of a diverse range of clients in providing share scheme and incentive structuring, tax advice, and implementation support. You will have significant client contact and provide leadership to junior colleagues in the team.

You will make an impact by:

  1. Meeting with clients to discuss their business and incentive needs, then working on the design of new employee incentive schemes.
  2. Building strong capability within teams, recognizing and responding to individual strengths and client requirements.
  3. Motivating your team to ensure maximum efficiency of reward spend.
  4. Providing advice on the tax treatment of a wide range of share plans during implementation and operation, and on transactions.
  5. Implementing share plan structures, including preparing the necessary legal documentation.
  6. Advising on the valuation of shares for tax purposes.
  7. Working alongside RSM colleagues worldwide to advise on international share incentive structures.
  8. Briefing junior staff on client business and pre-project instructions, supervising work, and providing on-the-job training and appraisals.

What we are looking for:

Are you someone who thrives on variety, loves learning new things, and enjoys connecting with people? If you can spot inefficiencies and are passionate about making improvements, this role is perfect for you!

We value diverse experiences and perspectives. Here’s what we’re looking for in our ideal candidate:

  1. Experience in a Share Plans / Reward team at a reputable accountancy, law, or consulting firm.
  2. Relevant professional qualification, e.g., ATT, CTA, ACA, or Solicitor.
  3. Proven experience in client handling and project management.
  4. Experience producing high-quality work for demanding clients.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

What we can offer you:

We recognize our people as our most valuable assets. That’s why we offer a flexible reward and benefits package to support your fulfillment both professionally and personally.

  1. Hybrid and flexible working arrangements.
  2. 27 days holiday (with options to purchase additional days).
  3. Wellbeing benefits, including financial tools, electric car scheme, and virtual GP access.
  4. Individual healthcare coverage.
  5. Access to over 300 on-demand courses developed by our talent development team.
