SeeAbility is seeking an enthusiastic Employer Engagement Volunteer to promote inclusive employment practices in Bristol and South Gloucestershire. This role involves engaging with local employers to create opportunities for individuals with learning disabilities and autism, making a positive impact in their lives. Volunteers will receive training and can claim travel expenses.

Ready, Willing & Able is SeeAbility’s supported employment programme. Our programme supports people with learning disabilities and autism to achieve their employment ambitions. We support people to seek and secure paid employment. We work with employers to ensure inclusive recruitment practices that offer people with learning disabilities and autism the best opportunity to showcase their talents and skills. We work alongside both our participants and employers to support our participants in the workplace.
Our programme is seeking employers in the Bristol and South Gloucestershire area who are committed to developing truly inclusive workspaces and are open to offering paid employment opportunities for the participants on our programme. Your volunteer role will be to engage and convert employers into partners for the programme, supporting our coaches in driving engagement with potential employers and increasing awareness of employing people with learning disabilities and autism.
Your role
We are looking for an Employer Engagement Volunteer who will share our values, embrace the notion of a diverse workforce, and is passionate about inclusion. That person will share our belief that paid work is positive and possible for everyone and will work to source new opportunities from a wide range of employers from various sectors.

Please note that you will need to be over the age of 18 to apply for this role. To ensure the safety of the people we support, a DBS check and two satisfactory references will be required before confirming a volunteer role. Since you will be volunteering directly with vulnerable individuals, safeguarding training and role-specific training will also be necessary.
